Healthcare Engineering Boot Camp at Jump Simulation will offer attendees an immersive experience into the world of design engineering. Highlights of the course include hands-on molding and 3D printing of anatomy, an introduction to coding and prototyping through the Arduino microcontroller system, interactive chemistry experiments, lectures detailing the vast world of engineering and its applications to the healthcare field as well as exposure to computer aided drawing (CAD) software. The day will culminate with a design competition, where students will be grouped into teams and will work together to come up with a creative solution to a given problem. The course will serve to educate the learners on the wide range of fields that engineers can enter, both classic and unconventional, and should help any student interested in the field gain a better understanding of opportunities present in today’s industry.
