Jump Applied Research for Community Health through Engineering and Simulation (ARCHES) represents a revolutionary partnership between clinicians and engineers to stimulate the advancement of health care.
In collaboration with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign’s College of Engineering, Jump ARCHES will focus on the technologies and techniques of clinical simulation and its impact on patient care.
Jump ARCHES will create new tools using imaging, health information technology, novel materials, and human factors to enhance medical simulation and education at facilities like Jump Sim. It also will create new tools, techniques, and devices for clinical use and treatment.
As part of OSF HealthCare and the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria, Jump Sim has direct access to clinicians of every type and the practical clinical challenges they face. This advantage allows Jump ARCHES the tools and structure to solve problems in the real world of health care.
Jump ARCHES is made possible through a $25 million challenge gift announced on February 28, 2014.
